Shooting Mary Meghan’s Photography Promo

Do you remember the cute Mary who submitted the video for the Promo Video Contest we were running? Well Mary was full of ideas and knew exactly what she wanted.

This past Saturday we had the privilege of shooting her promo video at an awesome little town called Lambertville. I had never been to Lambertville and I fell in love the moment we arrived. It is a quaint town full of antique shops, awesome food and it has such a livelihood to it. The town also connects via a bridge to PA so we physically shot in two states within walking distant. It was a perfect weather too and I had a blast with Mary, Roy and her couple. I did not get a chance to photograph much as I was helping the team shoot the video but here are a couple of behind the scenes.Mary and Roy you two are so awesome and I loved the ideas you had for storyboard and I can not wait til we put the final video together.

P.S we love helping our clients storyboard so we know exactly what we are going to film on the day of the shoot as well as have our main structure for our editing later.

P.S.S We had an amazing dinner at the Lambertville Station Restaurant and we highly recommend it, check out their wine cellar too, yum.

Rutgers Stadium Engagement Photo Session { Alyssa & Mike}

Finally the blog post I could not wait to share. As a former Rutgers student, I was super excited when Alyssa told me we would be shooting her engagement session at the Rutgers Stadium. I love when I get to photography fun sessions and Rutgers was sure fun. I was even more excited because it was the day before the Super Bowl. When we arrived at the Stadium, I felt like a kid at Disney and was mesmerized by the size of it and how nice it was to have it all to our selves. Thank you Alyssa and Mike again for such a treat, I can not wait to shoot your wedding.

And here are a few of my favorites, can’t wait to share some video footage we did of this as well.

5 Ways to Use Pinterest for Your Business

We have seen and heard the rise of the amazing new visual website called Pinterest. It allows you to create visual inspiration boards of things you find inside of Pinterest and on almost any website with photos on them.

Think of it as a stumble upon but for photos. If you are a photographer or visual artist, you can extend your brand experience via Pinterest by doing the following:

1) Making sure you have Pin it button on your blog posts or some where on your blog for readers to click on. Also have a Pinterest icon on your website.

2) Use the Pin it button to promote photos, ideas, inspiration, poses, places, design and so much more. Have the end user’s interest in mind.

3) Pin your own photos lightly. In the world of Social Media, always tooting your own horn can work against you. So when pinning your own stuff, wait for that special wedding, location, detail or color palette. Do not go Pin this crazy.

4) Optimize Optimize. Create Pin Boards that have to do with the kind of work you do or the interests of your readers. For this really think of who your ideal client and your target readers are. For example my couples usually already live together so one interest they have besides wedding planning is home design.

5) This is fresh from the Social Media Master Gary Vaynerchuk who is running a contest via Pinterest, that is right via pinterest right now. So why not run a contest of how many folks pin a certain photo to win something instead of just using facebook or blog comments, use photos instead.

Behind the Scenes of a Styled Shoot at Maritime Parc

I had the awesome chance last November to film the behind the scenes footage of a styled shoot organized by Luxe Events. The shoot occurred at the hip venue space Maritime Parc in Jersey City NJ. It is always great to come together and collaborate on a project with some amazing vendors. I surprisingly was on the other side, the video side of things for the day and had a chance to channel in my inner film maker a bit. So here is the highlights clip of what went down for the shoot. The theme was Brazilian Carnival and it reminded me of the fun bright colors of the kids movie Rio. Enjoy and be sure to check out the list of wonderful Wedding Vendors that worked this event.

As a Rutgers graduate, I was super excited when my lovely bride Alyssa shared with me about photographing her E-Session at the Rutgers Stadium. To add on to my excitement, we were able to photograph their the day before the Super Bowl. Yes I know, I am Brazilian and more of a Soccer fan, and don’t know a thing about Football but as I entered that empty stadium, it was like arriving at Disney. The massive space, green fields and cloudy sky made me feel like a little kid. We quickly went down for some fun shooting photos and some film. Here are my favorites from this amazing session.
